God at Work: An Exploration

Monday November 1, 2004
7:30 pm to 9:30 pm
Metro Hall, Toronto

For many of us, at the core of our approach to Spirituality at Work is our relationship with an Ultimate Source, a Higher set of Values, God, however we name and understand our experience with the Divine. Yet the opportunity to examine our experiences and personal theologies rarely, if ever, occurs. And it does not easily find its way into the office or the boardroom. What are the formative experiences that have shaped the way you now experience, struggle with, and seek to bring Godliness into your work? How does your belief system impact and intersect with your vocation? How might you integrate your faith and personal theology with your work?

Join a leading thinker, consultant, trainer, teacher, recording artist and author for this inspiring, engaging and thought-provoking exploration of God in the workplace. Rabbi Shawn Zevit, a Torontonian living in Philadelphia, has taught human relations in both the University of Toronto and Temple University, is the author of the forthcoming book "Offerings of the Heart: Values-Based Approaches to Money in Community", and is responsible for the leadership training programs of the Jewish Reconstructionist Federation throughout North America. And best of all, Shawn was the beloved emcee of our 1998 and 1999 Spirituality in the Workplace conferences in Toronto from which grew the Centre for Spirituality at Work. Contact Shawn at
