More about Jay Nair

Born in South Africa, Jay has been a Canadian citizen for 22 years. He was involved in the struggles of South African workers and others who were victims of inhuman and racist government legislation. His family was involved in these issues from the days of Mahatma Gandhi and the Indian Congress of Natal and South Africa. Jay's brother was a prisoner on Robben Island for 20 years, and today is a Member of Parliament of the Government of National Unity under President Nelson Mandela.
Jay's philosophy of "RID"--Respect, Inclusiveness and Dignity--means that we must acknowledge and respect all members of the human family, regardless of their race, religion or creed. This respect will give them a sense of inclusiveness, where all people are proud to be part of the workforce, society, community, nation and the human family. Such relationships will enhance the workplace for individuals, who will, in the end, enjoy the dignity of being included.
