(A6) Wellness Programs at Work Make Work More Soul-Friendly

A great deal of attention has been paid to the return on investment (ROI) of workplace wellness programs. Numerous research studies boast decreased absenteeism, decreased health-care costs and improved productivity. A soul-friendly organization, however, values and pays equal respect to the softer side of the equation: improved morale, enhanced teamwork, relationship-building and family involvement.
Divorce, transient neighborhoods, out-of-town college attendance and frequent job and career changes, have left most of us rootless, without a sense of community. This interactive session will explore the role of workplace wellness programs in creating and supporting a sense of purpose and community in the workplace.
During the workshop we will explore the following:

What is wellness in the workplace?

What are the benefits of implementing wellness programs at work?

What wellness programs work best in fostering and supporting a "Spiritual Workplace"?

How to implement wellness programs with limited resources.

How to develop a Workplace Wellness Strategy using a 10-step approach.

Workshop delegates will have an opportunity to experience a Candlelight and Stretch Break, complete Tri Fit’s comprehensive Organizational Health Audit and create a 21-day goal for their company.
