At work we are challenged regularly to "think outside the box". How often do you try to do this, but with varying degrees of success? Join poet Catherine Graham for an evening of thinking through the box. Discover a well-reasoned and imaginative approach to problem-solving with metaphors, transforming your challenges by using words and images. The result of linking both your left brain (analytical) and your right brain (imagistic) is insightful and practical information that emerges organically from thinking through the box. A past participant claims: "If you have half a mind to solve a problem, it's not enough! Catherine Graham's training has given us techniques to combine the strengths of the analytical and creative halves of our minds to develop innovative, lasting solutions."
Catherine Graham, M.A., (www.CatherineGraham.com) is a poet and creative writing instructor who was inspired to create WORDS @ WORK through her involvement with the Burlington Art Centres annual conference ABC: Art, Business & Creativity. She has now offered her unique workshop through the Ontario Council for University Lifelong Learning, McMaster University, the Summer Institute Conference at the University of Windsor, Sheridan College and Centauri Arts. Catherine is author of the acclaimed chapbook The Watch and the recently published poetry collection Pupa. Her work has been anthologized internationally, published on CBCs Sounds Like Canada website, broadcast on BBC Radio Ulster, and is included in The White Page: Twentieth Century Irish Women Poets. You can reach Catherine at cathy.graham@primus.ca. Bring your brochures & flyers for the networking table, and your chequebook to buy Pupa, a book of Catherine's poetry |
