Fall '99 Retreat

THE CENTRE FOR SPIRITUALITY AT WORK invites you to our Fall 1999 Retreat OCTOBER 22-24, 1999 at The Unity 'On the Mountain' Retreat Centre located at 21 Rosedene Avenue in Hamilton, Ontario.

Cost: $145 to $195* per person (all included)

Ever wonder if there are people just like you out there? People who feel there is something more to work than they are experiencing; people who want a deeper connection to themselves and others; people looking for their community, their soul. We invite you to connect with others just like you. Everyone is welcome. You don't have to have attended anything other events of The Centre for Spirituality at Work. You don't have to know anyone. Just bring yourself and find your "Soul-Mates".

Theme: "Connect who you are with what you do."

As we prepare for the new Millennium, The Centre for Spirituality at Work invites you to a fall 1999 weekend retreat to connect with our full consciousness and to explore how we might reflect our authentic selves within the workplace.

By taking time to distance ourselves from our everyday work-life, our aim is to go deep within ourselves, to express fully who we are, so we can take back to our respective workplaces the ideas we have learned and shared.

This is YOUR retreat. Participants are encouraged to take ownership in creating it by bringing 'their voice and expression'. Come ready to share yourself and your visions of a better workplace by facilitating or leading a discussion group, or simply listening, connecting and supporting by being present.

This is our third retreat. The momentum began with our first Conference in May 1998 and it continues to grow. Come and meet like-minded business people and entrepreneurs and return to your workplace as a change agent for transformation. There is room for 50 women and men at this retreat. We expect a full house, so please register today!

There are a few double rooms. Linens are provided. If you have special diet requirements, please let us know. Vegetarian options will be provided but please let us know.

WHAT TO BRING
  • Bring musical instruments, stories, songs, poems - whatever you feel called to bring. Remember, this is your retreat and we encourage you to make it as memorable and meaningful as you need it to be.
  • If you wish to lead a workshop, bring the materials for your workshop.   On Saturday morning anyone who wants to offer something will be invited to post it giving time and location. Workshops and discussion groups will take place on Saturday morning and afternoon, as well as Sunday morning. Please allow 90 min. for each workshop or discussion group session.
  • Pack appropriate clothing for indoor and outdoor activities. There will be a walk along the mountain, so bring good walking shoes.
  • You may feel inclined to give a small gift to someone who has touched your heart so keep this in mind.
  • We will be building an altar on Friday evening. Please bring candles, flowers (in their own vases or holders) or any other beautiful or sacred object you would like to share with others for the weekend.
  • Saturday night, we may feel moved to have a 'talent show' of sorts, so bring a poem, a passage, a joke, a skit, or music (yours or someone else's) that you would like to share.
