Work is an essential part of
every life. We have a right to work for our livelihood, to support ourselves and our
families. And from this we can achieve a sense of respect, dignity, self-worth, pride in a
job well-done. And in our interconnectedness, isn't it the responsibility of each of us to
foster an economy that can provide honest work opportunities for people? For those who
have lost their homes, having some work can be a lifeline back into a productive life.
Several Centre for Spirituality at Work community members are creating opportunities to
support organizations with a focus on work for homeless and marginally housed people in
Toronto. We're calling the project "Work for the Homeless: Making a
Difference". |
