INVITES YOU TO

COURAGEOUS CONVERSATIONS

with REVA NELSON

Thursday March 30, 2006, 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm
The ABC, near Bloor & Yonge, Toronto

At work, each of us is a human being first and a worker second. Today, just a job is often not enough because people are looking for -- and in some cases, expecting -- authenticity and meaning. Whether we are speaking with one person, working with a team in trouble, or facilitating a large group, there are always times when the need to speak the truth can be difficult, especially in the moment. How do we balance ‘workplace savvy’ with honesty? How do we take risks, in the moment, to say what needs saying? With the right intention and focus, disparate groups can indeed come together for a common cause. This evening we will explore communication difficulties, positive risk-taking and the need for truth and kindness in the workplace.

REVA NELSON (www.RevaNelson.com) is a successful facilitator, speaker and the author of Risk It! and Bounce Back! She was one of the select group of facilitators at CIBC’s Leadership Centre for five years and continues to work with all levels of international companies, mid-sized businesses, education and government. President of Words.Worth Keynotes & Seminars since 1985, Reva helps companies to believe in their people, and people to believe in themselves. You can contact Reva at reva_nelson@sympatico.ca
